Game description:
When Erathia’s King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Little resistance is met until his daughter Catherine, Queen of Enroth, returns to her homeland commanding an army of elite Enrothian warriors. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. Queen Catherine receives the aid of her father’s survived generals and embarks on a crusade to reclaim her lost land.

Installing on 64-bit versions of Windows[edit]

The original disc release uses a 16-bit installer.
  1. Insert the CD
  2. Download Winevdm.
  3. Extract it Somewhere
  4. Click on otvdmw.exe then look for SETUP.EXE
  5. You may get a 'SEGV' error and if that's the case just click on continue
  6. Follow the Prompts

Playing the game on Windows 8 and 10[edit]

  1. Download ddraw.
  2. Extract it somewhere
  3. Copy ddraw.dll to your installation folder (where you installed the game at)
  4. Right click on HEROES2W.exe and go to properties
  5. On Compatibility Mode Select Windows 98 / Windows ME
  6. Click on Reduced colour mode and set it to '16-Bit (65536) Colour'
  7. Also Click on 'Run this Program as an Administrator
  8. Click Apply and OK
  9. Run the game
